For Spin’s Wave Business digital video ad campaign, the focus was on building awareness for the Wave Business brand. We were tasked with creating in-stream video ads with animated companion banner ads to drive traffic to custom landing pages. The landing pages were created by the client and the creative, art and copy for the campaign, along with the media strategy and programmatic media buying, was entrusted to the Spin team. Using compelling creative, powerful programmatic ad technology with behavioral targeting, we set out to increase brand awareness for Wave’s Business services in a big way.

We created six fifteen-second video pre-roll ads (along with companion banner ads) that were run as a digital programmatic ad campaign. The video ads feature typical Wave business customers who would be a fit for Wave’s small business and enterprise services. The campaign emphasized Wave’s superior 24/7 customer service, scalable options for businesses of all sizes, and the range of features that Wave offers. Unparalleled customer service and flexible options that scale depending on business size, were two areas that we identified as major differentiators between Wave Business and their competition.

For digital ad buying, Spin uses a programmatic ad technology platform that allows us to access over two million online ad impressions per second, at scale and thousands of publisher sites through a network of industry-leading ad exchanges. For the Wave Business programmatic ad campaign we layered in behavioral targeting via third-party data, contextual targeting, geo-targeting and retargeting, to reach Wave’s potential business customers online.
The video ad campaign ran for six months starting in November 2015 and finished in early May 2016. The results of the campaign have made a solid impact with building awareness for the Wave Business brand online. Over its three-month flight, the campaign registered more than 2.4 million impressions over 5,600 clicks and an above-industry standard .23% CTR (click through rate).
