Spin received an assignment from Hodgson/Meyers to execute a viral web spot as part of an integrated product launch for Fluke. We took their creative and were instrumental in all phases of production, including casting, directing, shooting, and editing. The core concept was to feature the benefit of a new clamp meter that allows electricians to work in very tight spaces. A humorous approach was used, with the hero electrician having a particularly tough day confronting a variety of VERY TIGHT situations.
Spin shot the project over two days on location at a house in West Seattle and Fluke headquarters. One of the more challenging production elements was figuring out how to make a button pop off the “hero’s” shirt on cue. Spin did some “button popping off” R&D and test-shooting prior to production. This paid off during the shoot, with the button popping off on cue without a hitch!
